Shelf today announces that its world-leading knowledge automation platform has received the 2021 BIG Innovation Award presented by the Business Intelligence Group. This award comes as we turn the page on another record-setting year for Shelf, capped by high growth and recognition as a top-rated knowledge management solution by G2 and Gartner Digital Markets.

Organizations from across the globe submitted their recent innovations for consideration in the BIG Innovation Awards. Nominations were then judged by a select group of business leaders and executives who volunteer their time and expertise to score submissions.

“We’re incredibly honored to again receive recognition from Business Intelligence Group for our innovations in knowledge management and automation,” shares Sedarius Tekara Perrotta, CEO of Shelf. “After many years building knowledge management portals in legacy systems, we realized that no amount of effort or budget could solve the challenges of finding information instantly.”

By combining AI and information architecture, Shelf was born, and it’s proprietary MerlinAI technology finally automates the complexities of knowledge management so any business can operate with ease.

“More than ever, the global society relies on innovation to help progress humanity and make our lives more productive, healthy and comfortable,” said Maria Jimenez, chief operating officer of the Business Intelligence Group. “We are thrilled to be honoring Shelf as they are one of the organizations leading this charge and helping humanity progress.”

The pandemic only exacerbated the many challenges Shelf overcomes, like getting new employees up-to-speed and ensuring distributed workers have access to oft-changing organizational knowledge. While many vendors provide storage, structure and search to knowledge management, Shelf focuses on the user experience. By integrating with the most-widely used business and contact center tools, Shelf fits directly in people’s everyday workflows, ensuring high user adoption and improving efficiency by eliminating the need to toggle multiple systems manually tracking down answers. When companies can’t even afford the time it takes to search, Shelf’s MerlinAI analyzes intent indicators to automatically surface and recommend answers in real time.

“We believe our AI-led vision can empower the betterment of the workforce by solving massive training and knowledge gaps in the modern economy. It’s our mission to give new employees access to the knowledge of a veteran on Day 1, reducing stress and enabling success,” said Perrota.
